Taking the Party Downtown...

The party planning for my sons Carnival Party is moving right along. And it was moving so fast today that I felt like I was on crack. Yes, I got a major high from shopping in the Downtown Los Angeles toy district. Where has this place been my whole life. ANYTHING you could possibly need for a party is down there. Pinatas, tablecloths, balloons and the toys for prizes/loot bags were over flowing at places like Party World and More on 4th Street. Luckily I went shopping with my better half so he kept the spending in check. That is until he would step out the store to make a phone call and I would make a quick purchase. 5 dollars for a case of 24 bubbles....WHO COULD SAY NO!!! So I think I am done with all the shopping for decor and activities. All that is left to purchase is the food. Let me tell you, this little "inexpensive" backyard party is turning into a wallet sucker. But it is totally my fault because I know there a million things I could have cut out. And I probably still can; gonna keep the receipts for awhile. But in the case of the Downtown purchases...those are mine for keeps because MOST stores are final sale. We'll be some bubble blowing fools for a few months because mommy can't take them back. I don't think the kids will mind :-)

My First Blog

Wow...I can't believe I am actually doing this...an online diary. Ha Ha!!! This is hilarious. Well, I am creating this as my release. I want to write about my experiences as a fairly new mom(19 month old girl and soon to be 3 year old boy), a woman looking for a career and as a person that can make the smallest smile create an abundance of sunshine....

Well this was just a test, so stay tuned. This week I will be blogging on planning a carnival themed birthday party for a 3 year old. The big day is Saturday so I will need to do a lot of releasing this week...Ha Ha...

FYI: I am an educated woman but let me tell you now that my grammar and spelling is probably going to be a little off...a lot off.
